The Perfect Gray Coat That's Under $40

February 28, 2017

I'm a little late in the game, but I think I found the perfect gray coat. I've teamed up in collaboration with Yoshop to share this lapel wool blend coat that's comfy, stylish, and hella affordable, coming in right under forty bucks. I know that it can be scary to order cheap clothing from websites you've never heard of, so that's why I'm here to give an honest review.

Coat: Yoshop / Hooded Sweatshirt: Primark (similiar) / Jeans: ASOS (on sale!) / Shoes: Converse / Bag: thrifted

I've been wanting to add another piece to my outerwear collection and I'll be able to wear this for another couple months since it stays pretty chilly where I live through April (well, if the weather stops being so strange #globalwarming).

Philadelphia Street Style: Origami Backpack

Happy Friday my loves! Today I'm sharing the first batch of photos I shot with my boyfriend last weekend when we spent the day in Philadelphia featuring this khaki origami bear backpack from Oribagu. Isn't it super cute?! I actually never knew origami backpacks where such a thing. It's also quite roomy without being bulky like a normal backpack, which makes it great for days spent in the city. Oribagu has other animals, colors, and patterns that are of a very minimalist aesthetic, which I love! You can check out their collections here

February 15, 2017

Instagram is one of the best social media tools to help grow your blog or brand, but it can be easy to get lost in the sea of accounts and bloggers trying to do the same thing you are. It has definitely become easier for great content to get recognition and it all starts with an eye-catching image. After a year and a half of trying out different apps and editing tools for my photos, I've narrowed down a list of 5 apps that I regularly use to edit my Instagram photos and recommend to anyone that is trying to improve their images, grow their blog or brand, or just like having a nicely curated feed.

3 Things to Love About Mondays

February 13, 2017

Sweatershirt: Rad / Jeans: Urban Outfitters / Shoes: Converse

Happy Monday babes! This is a typical weekend outfit for me that I wore yesterday to grab some food and take a trip to iKea. I'm wearing this super cute slogan sweatshirt from Rad with a pair of mom jeans and classic Converse. Throwing on a sweatshirt with a good pair of jeans is an easy way to look put together and casual at the same time. Now that the weekend is over I'm excited for a new week and am ready to crush my goals! I feel like Mondays have such a bad rap when in reality they should be welcomed with open arms. I've learned to embrace them. so today I'm sharing three reasons why Mondays should be considered your friend and not your enemy.

Why You Need a Blanket Scarf This Winter

February 10, 2017

blanket scarf, leather jacket, jeans, ankle boots
Scarf: H&M / Jacket: H&M / Sweater: Shein / Jeans: Topshop / Boots: Nordstorm (similar) / Bag: DSW

I need to show some love to blanket scarves because they are a total essential for anyone living in a cold climate five months out of the year. I hopped on the trend last winter and added this tan/khaki one to my wardrobe I found in the H&M sales (which are always too good to pass up). This one in particular is hella long (as seen here) and then I realized how to stylishly wrap it around me and boom--my outfit looks super cool and I'm warm.

10 Ways to Be Kinder To Yourself

February 8, 2017

Sweater Over the Knee Socks Cozy Style

So many of us find it easy to express compassion toward others, but why is it so hard to find it within ourselves? In a world that's constantly flashing images at us and expecting us to work harder, faster, and longer, it becomes very difficult to not get wrapped up in comparison and beat ourselves up after something goes wrong. Self-compassion allows you to let go of judgments and creates a place that acknowledges your failures and pain. Accepting these negative feelings will allow you to learn and inspire self-growth. Today I'm sharing 10 ways to be kinder to yourself, an essential step towards a healthier and happier you.

Casual Valentine's Day Outfit Idea

I'm really not one for dressing up super fancy on Valentine's Day or really at any time of the year (lol), so today I'm sharing an outfit that is a happy medium for any of my ladies (single or taken!) out there who still want to look cute and presentable without all the fance and frill. This is something I'd wear this weekend to visit with my boyfriend (we're LDR) to do something casual like grab a bite to eat or hang out and watch Netflix. We aren't too crazy and I enjoy spending as much time as I can just him since we live 2 hours apart.
