Spring is near...and I'm officially over winter that's for sure! With every new season comes new trends, some we're familiar with and some we might have to warm up to. To be honest, I'm not much of runway junkie. I love fashion, but I like practical fashion, i.e. clothing that is functional, wearable, comfortable, and stylish. Oh! And budget friendly too, because I like featuring affordable options for all the ladies out there like me that don't want to break the bank, but still want to look put together.

Through winter I definitely stick to a cold-weather uniform such as jeans, pants, sweaters, warm coats, and neutrals. Once the temperatures start to warm up I have more freedom to experiment with my style, especially trends! This look I'm sharing is more of a winter to spring transitional outfit, but also incorporates a few spring trends.

My olive green cropped trousers are a nod to the military trend, the white platform sneakers and bomber jacket are embracing athleisure (comfort is key!), and lastly I added a faux-leather backpack which is practical and stylish. Secret: I actually cut these pants because they were a little too long for my liking and well, cropped is in. Now on to my my list of 21 wearable trends to look out for and add to your spring shopping list.
A lot of elements falling under this category. Try a classic camo utility jacket or embrace your inner French monarch with a steampunk-inspired jacket. Olive green bomber jackets are also a more street and neutral option.
2. CROPPED PANTS
Easy, practical, and stylish!
Loafers are actually a wardrobe staple of mine, but you'll be seeing a lot more of them this year. They are smart, yet chic and can be worn in different settings. Buckle details and pointed toes are going to be everywhere.5. SLIDES AND MULES
The Gucci leather slippers are EVERYWHERE and there are plenty of dupes to fit in your budget. Another hot shoe are mules which are on my to-buy list. I'm in love with this faux-suede pair.
6. STATEMENT SLEEVES
Bell sleeves, extra-long sleeves, balloon sleeves, bishop sleeves...there's a lot to experiment with.
7. SLOGAN TEES
Send a message, express your personality, or share an emotion with a funny pun, political statement, or cute phrase on your chest. The great thing about this trend is you can DIY and make your own!
Everyone's embracing color this year (even me!) I'm most excited for pastels like blush pinks, lilacs and powder blues. But apparently yellow is going to be huge...not sure if I'll be wearing that color though...
A little too edgy for some people, but I want to try wearing fishnet socks with loafers and cropped jeans. I think that is such a chic look.
I feel like gingham comes in and out and it always makes me think of picnics, haha! But there are some really cute and unique tops out there like this asymmetrical frill top.
11. OFF THE SHOULDER/COLD SHOULDER TOPS AND DRESSES
Showing your shoulder(s) is still going to be a thing this year and is a classy way to show off little skin. Shein is a great variety of affordable and trendy options.
Athleisure is still dominating and thank god because being comfortable and cute is my life motto. Hoodies are life!
Silver, gold, rose gold, pewter, gun metal, Metallic accessories such as bags and shoes are a good way to try this trend without being OTT.
15. BASEBALL HATS
Practical AF, comfortable, and adds a casual and cool vibe to any outfit. I outlined my reasons for why every girl should have a baseball hat in this post.
Layered over t-shirts and dresses, bralettes are a cute and fun hybrid of a bra and crop top in anticipation for summer.
17. PAJAMAS AS DAY WEAR
The pajama shirt trend is already warming up and will continue into spring. Gotta love a trend that you can literally roll out of bed and be ready to walk out the door in. This PJ style shirt dress is so friggin' cute.
18. SHIRT DRESSES
Speaking of shirt dresses...A classic piece that always comes back around.
19. BOLD STRIPES
Stripes are ALWAYS in, but if you want to expand your collection try some bold stripes with lots of colors or mix and match contrast patterns and colors.
Ruffled sleeves and flounce tops add a touch of femininity and dimension to an outfit and are perfect for spring!
21. FLORAL (Go figue!)
It's spring. Need I say more?
