After shooting this outfit I realized that I've neglected to feature these lace-up flats from Aldo! I scored them at DSW for $30 on sale and am so happy I bought them. Super comfy and cute, I've been wearing them to work a lot and they also work with off-duty and night looks. I also got this lace-up shirt from H&M more recently, feeding into my obsession with dusty pink tones. Paired with my black culottes and tote bag, this outfit works for any setting.
It took me a little while to get back into slip-on sneakers, but here I am with six pairs I wouldn't mind owning! Way back in high school I owned a pair of white slip-on Vans with mini black polka dots. They were pretty cute, but unfortunately their life ended in my college days. After that I wasn't really into slip-on Vans and still kind of don't like the shape of them (on me at least). I have to be contradictory though and have a pair in this list! These pale pink ones (no. 2) are actually really cute and I've been lusting after a pair in this color for a while now. I also had to include a classic white pair, a color I find more practical for my next shoe purchase.
Do you own a pair of slip-ons? What do you think of the trend?
A few weeks ago my friend Katie and I went to see Brand New and Modest Mouse at the Merriweather Pavillion outside Baltimore. I hadn't been to a concert/show in about a year and half and TBH, I forgot how to dress for one! I knew it was going to be outside, so I focused on comfort. I decided on sneakers, a denim skort, tank top, baseball cap, and a backpack.
Happy Friday! I'm excited to share these photos because I took them on my roof (lol) and loved how they turned out. In my last Trend Report I styled a neck scarf, so it would only be a matter of time until I featured a bandana. Fun fact: back in middle school when I played soccer I always wore a red bandana, but in a style that covered my whole head. I remember one time during a game it actually fell off and I had to pick it up, haha! Dedication I tell ya. Since then I've actually gotten rid of my bandana collection, only to repurchase a mere 10 years later. As I've mentioned before, that's the magic of trends!

"Athleisure" is a trend that I've known was a thing for a while, but just recently caught onto the term. It's defined as clothing designed for working out, but is worn in settings other than the gym. It's basically cool now to wear workout clothes, without actually working out! My style has become significantly more casual and sporty recently, so I am really into the whole athleisure look. For today's Wednesday Wants I'm sharing some athleisure-inspired pieces from Shein's Sail Into Summer Sale.
T-shirt: Hanes / Shorts: thrifted / Shoes: Nike / Bag: thrifted / Hat: Nike
If there is one garment that just screams summer to me, it's the blue denim short. They're so easy to style and can be found in pretty much every store, and come in so many different designs. Cuffed, frayed, embroidered, or just simple, there's a perfect pair for everyone. I'm actually going shopping today and am on the hunt for another pair. The pair I'm wearing here are the only ones I have and I found them at a thrift store for like $4. That's another great thing about denim shorts, you can find them in all price ranges and can usually find a really nice vintage pair at a thrift or second-hand shop. Or you can cut off a pair of jeans and make them into shorts as well.

Ya know that ya girl loves to shout out fellow bloggers who are out there doing their thing. The last time I did one of these was back in December, so I thought it was time to share some of my favorites at the moment.

Jumpsuit: BooHoo / Sandals: Marshalls / Bag: Old Navy / Neckscarf: thrifted
Jumpsuits are the new craze and I've fallen in love with them. I even made a little jumpsuit wishlist in my Wednesday Wants post, the culottes style being my favorite. One-pieces are an easy outfit to just throw on and also a great palette to layer accessories. This look features this black jumpsuit from BooHoo as my foundation paired with a nude bag, wooden heels, and jewelry. Oh, and you can't forget a neck scarf.
I'm going to be honest and say that June was a huge f*ck it month for me when it came to money. But hey, I still had money left over to pay for my rent and bills, which is all that matters. Another thing I have to be honest about is that this whole My Monthly Buys series actually helps me spend less (yes, this month could have been a lot worse) because the more I buy, the more I have to document! Kind of a funny way to spend less, but it definitely works!
Bodysuit: Forever 21 /// Skirt: H&M /// Slides: Puma /// Hat: thrifted
I've had this skirt for a little while and haven't debuted it on here until now! If you're a frequent In Search of Sheila reader you might know that I've never really been into midi skirts or anything body-con until recently. Call it confidence issues. Also, I gotta be real with you guys about something...
This week lets talk about: block heels. We're seeing these everywhere and I always prefer a block/chunky heel vs. a stiletto because they are comfy and easy to walk in. Which one of these picks is your favorite? What do you think of block heels?
Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing a minimal outfit that is actually inspired by Diana from http://cruel-kid.blogspot.com. Go check her out if you haven't already, she's a super awesome German girl with killer minimal style. Anyway, two of the items in this look I received in collaboration with Zaful.com. When Zaful contacted me I was a little apprehensive, but after a quick browse on their Instagram I found that a lot of bloggers and Instagrammers were working with them, one whom I follow myself. Being the indecisive person I am, it was hard for me to choose some items from their website. I ended up going with this striped shirt and light gray backpack which I'm in love with.
