A-line skirts (especially the button-up kind!) are really in trend right now so here's me styling another black one (you can see how I style a vintage denim one here) I got this one from Yoins after winning a blog giveaway for a voucher (didn't expect that at all). I styled it with a striped turtleneck, a dark red cardigan from T.J. Maxx, and my new Public Desire boots of course! I'm really loving this cardigan, it's the perfect shade of red.
So the title...I had to! If you didn't know, the east coast got SLAMMED by Winter Storm Jonas. My town got 27 inches of snow...and places south of me GOT EVEN MORE. I think West Virginia got like 3 and a half feet. INSANITY. My car was completely buried, my parking lot a complete mess (you can see in the background of these photos), my job was closed for 2 days...such an incredibly historic storm. My dad said the most he's ever experienced was 18 inches...I just kept saying unbelievable in my head as I shoveled and shoveled for hours and hours. Besides all this weather talk, I am excited to share these photos as I'm really happy with how they came out! You can expect a snowy background in my photos for a couple of months now, lol.

Just some items from Topshop that I wouldn't mind buying if my bank account allowed it. I actually tried the green jumper (#7) on at a Nordstrom and fell in love, but not with the $65 price tag. A life goal of mine is to become established enough in my career that I can afford Topshop on the reg. Currently, I wouldn't mind saving my money for a signature piece, as I am trying to focus more on quality than quantity in my closet. My philosophy is that if I purchase a high quality item I will cherish it forever because I invested in it. I am slowly in the process of clearing out my wardrobe and starting a capsule of basic items that will last me for eternity.
Which of these pieces is your favorite? Do you prefer quality over quantity?
Temperatures have DIPPED to what they actually should be...below freezing with ridiculous wind chills! Aha, winter blogger life has commenced w/ freezing fingers and stranger stares. Alas, it is always worth it! I am in love with this sweater from Yoins because it is SUPER warm. Turtlenecks and roll neck sweaters (I really just want to say jumper, but I'm not British. Am I allowed??) have been life savers for me, so I keep investing in them. This one is perfectly cropped too and looks so good with anything high waist. It actually is a bit too warm when I'm indoors, but once I head out I am grateful that I put it on.
