What To Write in a Christmas Card

December 14, 2016

What to Write in Christmas Card
For the holidays this year I decided to write out greeting cards to my friends and coworkers. Ever since I started to practice gratitude everyday I've learned to see the positive in all situations and never take anything or anyone for granted. Since I can't afford to buy everyone I appreciate in my life a gift, mailing a nice card out in the mail or handing it to them in person is a perfect alternative. Today I'm sharing some tips on what to include in your personal greeting if you are stumped for words!

Christmas Card Inspiration

What to Write in Christmas Card

1. Find the Right Card
What I love about greeting cards is that you can really show your personality through them and when a hand written message won't suffice, let the card talk. I picked up these cards from Target which were only $3 for a box of 16!

2. Keep it Simple
This isn't a wedding or graduation, so a simple one or two sentence message will do just the trick. Most people don't want to open a card to find a paragraph of sentiment, especially if it's your coworker! If you're writing a card to your bestie and you know she'll love reading a book compressed into a greeting card--go for it.

3. Make It Personal
If you aren't super close to the receiver and don't know what to say, try thinking of a funny moment you shared together that both had you laughing or a situation where they helped you out. Sparking a memory will instantly make them smile!

4. Show Your Gratitude
The holidays are all about showing how much you care about the people in your life, right? Make sure to include that in your message.
