The shearling denim jacket has taken this season by storm. The shearling collar is a cozy and stylish spin on the classic denim jacket which makes it perfect for the fall and winter seasons. It's surprisingly super warm too and I've been getting so much wear out mine. I thought I would share some tips on how to style it if you don't already own one or aren't sure how to incorporate it with other pieces in your wardrobe.
LAYER LAYER LAYER
A no-brainer, right? When I want to get more wear out of my lighter jackets when the temperatures start to dip, I love layering them over top a super warm sweater. You can double and triple layer under it depending on how cold it is, and get this: you can even layer your winter coat OVER your denim jacket. Gosh, I love layering.
PAIR WITH BLACK JEANS
I'm not that bold enough to try the double denim look (although it can totally be pulled off), so I like wearing my jacket with black jeans and black ankle booties for a super chic street look vibe. For a more casual look swap out the booties for a pair of sneakers!
ADD A SCARF + BEANIE
Now that it's the end of November and we're getting closer to winter, it's okay and sometimes totally necessary to add a scarf + beanie. They aren't just for fashion--they keep me so warm, especially when I just can't with the wind.
OKAY, IT ACTUALLY GOES WITH ANYTHING
Honestly, this blog title is a little misleading because this jacket can go with pretty much anything. It's a great way to make a dressier look more casual and can be paired with any type of footwear--boots, sneakers, loafers, heels....etc. I'm actually trying to think of something it wouldn't pair well with, and I'm drawing a blank.
What do you think of the shearling denim jacket? How do you like to style it for fall/winter?
Also has anyone gotten any good Black Friday deals? I bought a pair of loafers (been looking for a WHILE) on ASOS where everything is 30% off. I never go too crazy with the sales because I don't like giving in to the marketing. I mean, Black Friday used to be ONE DAY and now it's turned into a whole week pretty much!
