How to Look Effortlessly Street Chic this Fall

November 18, 2016

Sweater: H&M / Jeans: similar / Boots: Nordstrom / Bag: thrifted

If I had to tell you what my personal style goals are for the fall/winter season, it's that whole street chic / street style / model off-duty look. This outfit totally epitomizes those vibes and I honestly couldn't love it anymore. I feel like I'm about to hop in a taxi in NYC off to my next big photo shoot or event (oh a girl can dream). Just because we don't live that kind of life does not mean we can't dress like it! Today I'm sharing 4 pieces to include in your wardrobe and a hair tip to look effortlessly chic look this fall.

Tan Sweater Denim Jeans

Black Ankle Boots Mom Jeans

1. NEUTRAL SWEATER
A sweater in tan/beige/light brown is perfect for fall and goes perfectly with blue or black denim. Find one that has a nice drape to it so it'll look effortlessly chic when tucked in to your jeans.  I've been looking for a beige/tan sweater all season and found this one from H&M on sale for $10! Stores are already advertising their Black Friday sales, so if you'e in the market for anything new, now is the time.

2. MOM JEANS
Mom jeans are just having a moment right now. If you can find a pair that hug your body in all the right places pounce on them because they are so flattering on any body shape IMO. They also look great paired with anything and you can incorporate other trends like a cropped or frayed leg, or embroidery design.

3. POINTED ANKLE BOOTS
If you are going to invest in only one of these pieces, choose the ankle boot. A good pointed boot will take any look from basic to chic. I picked up this pair from Nordstrom (again, on sale!) that I'm totally infatuated with. I've been wanting a new pair of booties that make me feel like a street chic queen and I think these epitomize that. Find a boot that makes you feel super powerful walking down the street, but also comfortable at the same time.

4. CROSS BODY BAG
Throwing a bag on top of your outfit provides an added visual and really completes the look. And a bag is practical since we always need to carry our stuff while on the go, right?!

5. TUCKED HAIR
I've been really into tucking my hair into my sweaters and turtlenecks to give the illusion I have short hair, when in reality it is a mess that I need to deal with. A long bob just looks so stylish and put together. I also feel more mature with short hair, does anyone else feel the same?

What do you think of this outfit and the street chic/street style look? Also, can you believe Thanksgiving is in less than a week? And then Black Friday and then straight on holiday mode. This year sure is winding down quick!
