I don't do too much sunglasses shopping because I wear prescription eyeglasses everyday. I keep saying I plan to get contacts, which I will continue to keep saying! I've added another pair of shades to my collection from Sicky Eyewear which has me more motivated to get to the eye doctor. This pair is my favorite style which is called the club master (I had to look this up ahah) which is a vintage inspired frame popularized by Ray-Ban. When Sicky Eyewear, based out of Malibu, California, reached out to me to style a pair of their shades, I was instantly drawn to this amber tortoise pair. They add a cool beach vibe to my outfits and I like how they frame the shape of my face.
The sunglasses came with a white case and lens cloth. I absolutely love the tortoise colored frame, which is the same color of my everyday eyeglasses. I really dig the back story of the brand, which was started by John Hildebrand who was at the time a photographer who couldn't find any frames he liked, so he made his own.
As for my outfit, I wanted to keep it minimal and casual to let the sunglasses be the focus. This is a more fallish look, but I can totally see me styling these shades in the summer with a pair of high waist denim and crop top. Now, now, lets stop talking about summer, because winter *is* coming and we need sunglasses all year round, especially when we are driving at sunset and the sun is completely blocking our line of vision.
What do you think of these sunglasses? What is your favorite style of frame?
