It's been another month which means another recap of what I've purchased this month! I can say that this has my best month yet for avoiding unnecessary purchases. I did buy some clothes though, which I don't think will be something that will be changing anytime soon, haha.
I am obsessed with this t-shirt and I want to get it in more colors. You know you love an item of clothing when you wake up and just want to wear that. American Apparel's clothing is not only nice quality, but I also love the way it fits my body and gives me loads of confidence. I also used a 30% off code for this so I saved a few bucks.
Urban Outfitters Cropped Trousers: $20
I've literally been on a culotte/trouser search for at least 3 months and finally found this gray pair that are perfect for work and casual wear. And they were on sale!! They do look purple in the photo and in real life and look amazing with a black top and black boots (outfit post coming soon!) I wish they made these in black! The black pair of culottes I mentioned in my February Buys had to be sent back for a smaller size, but unfortunately the smaller size was sold out. Every pair on ASOS that I like are always OUT OF MY SIZE and it's so frustrating. This pair from UO will do for now!
A Game of Thrones: $5 + shipping
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close: $0.75 + shipping
One thing mentioned in my Spring Goals post was that I want to read at least one book a month. I am almost finished rereading Choke and am already about 150 pages into A Game of Thrones. I'm a huge fan of the tv series and finally got around to purchasing book one of the series. It's just as thrilling as the tv series, I must say! I also bought Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close because I've seen a few bloggers mention it and it sounded like an interesting read. That will be my next book to read! I bought both of these texts on half.com so they are both used, but in great condition. I totally recommend buying books used as it helps eliminate waste and is so much cheaper!
Another item I bought from hearing reviews is that Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I'm about half way through the bottle and definitely reccommend it! I was using makeup remover wipes for a while, but they aren't the greatest for your skin + produce a lot of waste. So I just use this micellar water on a cotton pad or wash cloth and it takes my makeup off super easily and hassle-free!
Total March expenditures: $68
I'm happy with how much I spent last month. I am still on a tight budget to get through my winter bills and trying to save money. I did spend about $15 on shipping, but I decided not to include this in the total. (I hate shipping charges so much haha). I'm really happy with my purchases, especially the clothing since I will see myself wearing them a lot in the future!
What are some of your favorite purchases last month? Anything special you want to buy this month? I predict that I will be spending more in April because it's my birthday month!
