I immediately fell in love with this jacket from Dresslink when I paired it with this dress...I was actually inspired by Keri from Enclothed Cognition to get this jacket so shout out to you, girl! I love how it drapes and just makes you look instantly chic. Also, it's green! I would usually go for neutral colored outerwear (usually black), but actually love how I can pair this with monochrome looks to add a pop of color. Definitely a statement piece.
Can we talk about this grid print dress though? I got it on clearance at T.J. Maxx ($12!) and wore it on the first day of my internship. I feel so mod in it. It's definitely a piece you can style different ways. Here, it works as a perfect backdrop for my green trench coat.
Never thought I could pull off a trench, but wearing heeled boots definitely helps. What do you guys think of this look? Are you into trench coats for fall? What kind of outerwear are you into for this season?

The autumnal equinox has arrived...hello fall! The first day of fall was great. Mild temperatures and sunshine...I wish I could have that all year round. For my #FirstDayofFall outfit I styled this necklace from Happiness Boutique around a basic black t-shirt dress, jean jacket, and taupe booties!

When I was little I was a tomboy and loved to play random sports, even though I wasn't that good. I did play soccer for seven years, but everything else was just kind of a pick me up...tennis being one of those. My dad bought my brother and I cheap rackets from local yard sales and we'd always go to the park and play. Sometimes I would just play by myself with a big concrete wall to bounce the ball off of. Nowadays you might find me trying to play tennis on Wii Sports, but still kinda not that good. Here's a look I put together styling this white tennis skirt from Dressin. I actually ordered a size too big and it doesn't fit me the way I would like :( So sad, and again an issue I always have with online shopping.

I'm excited to share my first "fall/autumn" look of the year featuring this sheer white button up from Dresslink. I didn't realize how sheer the top was until I received it, but I'm just wearing a nude-colored bra with it and I don't think it's too risque at all, especially paired with black denim. I like how versatile it is as I can wear it with pants, a skirt, a dress if I had a slip, or as a coverup. They also have it in black if white isn't your thing (I'm trying to branch out!)

Okay, I've come to terms with the fact that summer is ending and now I'm stoked for fall! Much of this has to do with the recent temperature drop we are currently experiencing, so the nasty heat and humidity is gone. Now I can play more with my style with layers and such :) But anyway, here's a summer look from last week when it was supa hot.

Here's a quick outfit of the day from Monday which was Labor Day here in the states. I wore this look for driving back home to visit my family & then on a hike with my friend Beth. I love throwing this tank top dress on because it's so easy, breathable, and cute. I have it in the same colors but reverse (like more white than black, haha) because I have a stripe problem. The hat and sneakers give it a casual cool sporty vibe!

Pumpkin spiced lattes might be back, but it's still been in the 90s and humid af here! Pretty sure next week will be the same. I have so many fall pieces to style, but I.just.can't. so here's a simple, yet chic outfit incorporating two summer basics that can be transitioned into fall: a white tee & denim shorts.

1. Checked Skirt:
I'm still obsessed with check/grid prints, especially in black and white. I love the a-line and scallop details of this piece, and it would be super cute to transition into fall with maroon or black knee-high socks.
2. Duster Coat
So obsessed with dusty pastel colors at the moment, especially in outwear-form. I actually saw this coat in cream in a recent haul on Sammi's (aka BeautyCrush) Youtube channel. ASOS also has this in an "ash blue" and "dusky green" but I'm loving the pink the most as it would add some color to a neutral or all black outfit which I'm prone to wearing.
3. Leather Tote
I've been wanting a big bag for school and my internship because backpacks a) don't look as professional (haha) and b) aren't as easily accessible. This was actually in Sammi's haul as well (lol) but she got it in a cream color which isn't on the U.S. site. It is real leather btw.
4. Chelsea Boots
Honestly, black boots or any type of shoe in general will always make its way into my closet. I try to branch out of this spectrum, but my outfits always seem to need black footwear. I really like the zipper on it as it adds some edge. Perfect for fall!
