This Girl Is On Fire

October 16, 2015

My new relationship with this bomb-ass bomber jacket was all based on a whim. I happened to stumble upon a Goodwill thrift store while trying to find coffee, and when the gods grace you with a Goodwill, you go in. I found this jacket in the "Athletic" section of the Halloween stuff for only $7! You can find some really good everyday stuff deemed "Halloween" in the thrift store, it's honestly just better curated pieces! The bonus is that it's super warm which makes me super happy. The Nike cap was purchased at the same place as well for $1.97 and the jeans are vintage Levi's which I also thrifted a while back. GUYS, I love thrift stores. Haha.

THE OTHER thing I want to talk about about are these nude heels, which are my first *official* pair of stiletto (is that what we call them?) heels *ever*. Yes people, I am becoming a grown up. Heels were never my thing because I felt like they made me too fancy. Thank god for the sports trend, so now I think I achieved a good balance between casual and chic with all these pieces.

The back design of this jackets is pretty interesting. I'm not much of a speedway girl, but at least I'm representing Pennsylvania, right? Sarver is a town outside of Pittsburgh (yes, I had to Google that.)

Tell me about your favorite thrift finds or if you've never been to a thrift store, what pieces would you be in search of? Have a lovely weekend my loves!

P.S. I gave my blog a little makeover and updated my about me section (it was long over due). Let me know what you think of it :)

Jacket: thrifted /// Tank: Rue 21 /// Jeans: thrifted  /// Heels: Steve Madden (T.J. Maxx) /// Hat: thrifted

  1. I also love thrift stores, basically everything I own has come from them. Philly happens to have a couple great spots for thrifting that I'm at all the time! I need to see if any of them have a halloween section. Good job with the blog makeover :)

  6. This is so cool! I love that you thrifted a lot of this outfit, if you dig you really can find good stuff! Those jeans are so great! Also, love the heels and those jeans are a great contrast with the heels! Never heard of Starver either, and neither has my bf who is from Pittsburgh haha, must be a small place!

    1. Thank you! hahaha it must be very small. I wore the jacket out over the weekend and an older gentleman asked me if I had been there before. Apparently he had heard of it!

  7. YOU'RE WEARING HEELS. This is so weird, but you look so good, Sheila! You still retained your usual sport edge, and ahh, in love with the fact that the outfit is largely thrifted. Love this!
