Polar Vortex

January 6, 2014

Sweater: mother's // Pants: Wet Seal // Boots: Clarks

Another outfit to beat the cold and also, my new boots!!!

"Skin can freeze in 30 minutes"...well that's enough of an incentive for me to wear gloves the majority of time outdoors lately. This "polar vortex" that's been going on in the northern part of the country from the mid-west to the east is crazy! I was determined to take some photos today despite the wind and low temperatures.

I decided to throw on my mom's sweater today because I find it very fitting for the season. The size tag says it's a Large 14/16 so I guess it's actually a kid's sweater! The turtle neck component actually kept my neck pretty warm...taking photos today was not the most fun. I am becoming more and more jealous of fellow bloggers and fashionistas that can wear shorts right now!! The wind is just totally unbearable.

But, anyway...my new ankle boots are from Bonton and I saved $95 on them because it was a "bonus buy" after Christmas! I actually tried this style on in the store but they didn't have my size :( I was estatic to see them online and abruptly ordered them. My first pair of Clarks! The 3 inch heel is really comfortable...these are going to be seen a lot in the near future.

Well, I'm off to trivia night with my girl friend at one of my favorite bars! Wish me luck :)
